natural phenomena

Two things happened Thursday that have never happened to me before. First, when I woke up for no reason at 5:30am and pushed back a fleece blanket, I saw little blue lightening all over it in the darkness: the static in the cover was causing waves of electric discharge. I promptly went back to sleep, though now I'm slightly curious as to why I didn't catch on fire. Second, I walked 15 minutes home in a steady rain, with no raincoat, hood, or umbrella. I was throughly soaked, my glasses were useless and also foggy, and I was cold. I've never been that wet in my clothes since that time I got thrown in a lake. The real thing though was walking around, just walking, in full-on rain.
